 As a guest photo editor, I spent a year photo editing The Picture Professional for the American Society of Picture Professionals, the only association dedicated to photo editors and buyers.  I conceptualized, developed, photo edited and wrote the text for the cover feature, "International Year of the Forests." 

 Rob Sheppard, Editor-In-Chief of Outdoor Photographer for over twenty years, invited me to write a guest essay on how aspiring landscape photographers could use their photography to contribute to conservation.  It was an honor to work with an industry legend and add a valuable piece to his book. 

As the photo editor of National Geographic's classroom magazine, I had the opportunity to present, develop, assign, edit and photo edit unique feature articles, including "Parrot People," about the Kayapo of Brazil, and "Okavango" about Africa's inland river delta.  It was the best part of my job.
