There's nothing I love more about photo work than optimizing and retouching. I LOVE color and can instinctively see when even a small element in a photo has a color cast that needs fixing. I can fix or adjust anything with Photoshop.
I learned retouching from the best, the color operators from Quad Graphics at National Geographic. We worked together in a neutral grey room to perfect all images to be printed in Explorer! Magazine and award winning maps and special edition magazines, when I was the staff photo editor.
Prior to that, at my other nonprofit staff jobs, I contributed my eye for color during the production and print proofing process for magazine publication. After leaving National Geographic, I continued to hone my skills and learn more tricks and tools to use in retouching a wide variety of photo subjects from wildlife to ancient art to real estate to jewelry.
My optimized and retouched photos have won renowned international photo contests. World-famous National Geographic photographers have used my edited photos for licensing, books, museum exhibits and gallery sales. One photo was even used in a major SONY campaign. Photos I've retouched have graced the covers of magazines, books and been used in websites and a wide variety of media.
Let me help bring out the best in your photos! I'm always happy to do a few free samples to show you my eye and we can also screen share and work together so that I can learn your eye.
